Noctide Leather was created out of our passion for buying & supporting Australian Made small businesses products.
In our previous small business we had experience with importing bulk cheap manufactured goods, taking photos & uploading them to our website to make a sale. It was basically one product in a very niche market. It was not to long into the journey when Rob & I both began to question what we were doing.
We started to ask ourselves about:

Why Australian Made?
Australian Made is important to us, as we have so much more control over our supply chain.
Yes we have the flexibility to purchase our raw materials from both within Australian & overseas. We do find some hardware hard to source within Australia.
However if a pandemic strikes & international shipping ceases or slows, we can still comfortably continue to hand make our products in our Goulburn, NSW Workshop. We will not be caught out waiting on our next shipment of manufactured goods to arrive. It is important to be in control of the supply chain as much as possible.
One day we hope to create jobs for locals.
Australian Made Creates Jobs
Instead of sending a large amount of money off shore to a foreign country to get bulk goods manufactured, we pay ourselves (& one day employees) to manufacture the goods. Keeping our money within Australia & supporting some locals to build leather crafting skills.

We are very proud to be Australian Made. So we have taken the step to apply & become Australian Made Certified. This allows us to easily show case our identity & shared passion with a great community off Australian Makers.
